The
Robins continued their good run of form with a
rusty apprehensive performance against the
leagues bottom club Newhaven.
It
clearly showed that the team had only played two
competitive matches in the space of of 6
weeks.
It
took the Robins over half an hour to capitalise
on the ball possession to open the scoring when
midfielder Adam Patterson fired a low shot from
25 yards into the corner of the net.
Despite
having created numerous goal chances the first
half ended at 1-0 to the Robins.
The
second half performance was slightly better when
in the 48th and 65th minute Matt Amos grabbed
two goals to seal the three points.
With
the game in its final stages substitute Nathan
Miles headed a goal on the far post in the 78th
mintute.
