Mid Sussex
Football League Premier Division Saturday
14th October 2006 MORE ERRORS COST ROBINS
DEAR Lindfield 4-2 Hassocks
Even though
Hassocks scored in the first minute they were once
again beaten in a game they may well have
won.
Mike Demario
opening goal was well worked team effort and
should have provided a good platform to go and
win this game.
Unfortunately
for the rest of the half, Lindfield dominated
and were given to much space to play in. They
scored twice and could have scored more but for
some really good defensive play from Spiesy,
Franksy and Watko.
The second half
started promising with a few chances being
created and a Robbie Kitchen effort hit the post
when he was on a 1 on 1 with the keeper.
Hassock continued
to keep the ball better and not allow the
Lindfield players to have time and space to play
in.
However all this
good work was undone when two poor defensive
mistakes saw Lindfield take a commanding 4-1
lead.
Hassocks
continued to drive forward and there only reward
was when Logan Newington scored his first goal for
the men's team with a lovely chip from the edge
of the area.
Mistakes are
costing us dearly this season and although the
team has the drive and determination to get us
out of this position its time to get some points
on the board!
