Mid Sussex
Football League Premier Division Monday
09th October 2006 ROBINS GO DOWN AGAIN IN
GAME OF TWO HALVES Hassocks 2-4 Felbridge
Hassocks showed
there true capability when they put in a
determined second half performance and won it with
a solitary goal from Jordan Sriharan when he
followed in his missed penalty to score with
ease. Unlike Spenny he did not kiss his
badge.
Unfortunately by
this time the game was beyond Hassocks when
three
basic mistakes led to them giving away three very
poor goals in the first half against an athletic
and quick Felbridge side.
Hassocks started
quickly and competed well but within 20 minutes
they were 2-0 down. Andy Burt quickly got one
back for Hassocks and Mike Damario and Ian
Dawson then started to cause the Felbridge back
four real problems and with a bit of good
fortune we may have got an equaliser.
However it was
Felbridge who replied with a couple of
fortuitous efforts to go in at half time with
the game more or less wrapped up at 4-1.
The second half saw
Hassocks play much better and they were unlucky
not to add to the solitary goal by Jordan.
On Saturday the
thirds hope to pick up on their misfortunes to
play Lindfield on the common.
