Freezing conditions wipes out fixtures
The
freezing conditions over Sussex wiped out all of the
clubs scheduled fixtures for the weekend for the first
time this season as only one reserve team game survived
in the County League. The Robins are next in action this
Saturday when Peacehaven & Telscombe visit the Beacon.
The reserves travel to take on the same opponents while
the third team are in action at Balcombe. On Sunday, the
youth team welcome Storrington to the Beacon |

Gault and Miles at the double as Robins see off Selsey
Braces from Phil Gault, left, and Nathan Miles
helped Hassocks to a 5-2 victory at Selsey with Chris
Maynard also on target. The reserves won through to the
semi final of the Reserve Section Cup with Richard
Thomas netting in a 1-0 over Mile Oak while the thirds
drew 0-0 away at Old Varndeanians. On Sunday, the youth
team defeated Lancing 6-2. This Saturday we welcome
Lingfield to the Beacon and the reserves make the
journey to Rye United |

Thrid team fixture off
Monday nights scheduled third team fixture against Crawley Down
thirds in the Mid Sussex Premier was postponed. This Saturday we travel to Selsey
in County League Division One while the reserves host
Mile Oak in a repeat of last seasons Reserve Section Cup
Final in the last eight of this seasons competition. The
third team travel to Old Varndeanians in the Mid Sussex
Premier League and on Sunday the youth team are at home
against Lancing with an 11am kick off at the Beacon |

Robins comeback earns point against Mullets
Hassocks came back from 3-0 down after 35 minutes to
pick up a point with a 3-3 draw at home to Arundel on
Saturday with Stuart Faith, left, Phil Gault and
Phil Johnson on target. On Friday night the reserves
drew 2-2 at Lancing with Neil Kane scoring both goals to
make it seven in four games for him. Sunday's youth team
game at Storrington was postponed. There is Monday Night
Football at the Beacon tonight with the third team in
action against Crawley Down thirds with a 7.45pm kick

Ringmer end Robins unbeaten run
Ringmer triumphed 3-2 at the Beacon on Friday to end
Hassocks' unbeaten 17 match run. Phil Gault and Kieran
O'Callaghan, left, were on target. The reserves
won 4-0 in the Reserve Section Cup at Loxwood while the
thirds went out of the Montgomery Cup 2-1 against
Balcombe. The youth team top the table after a 2-1
victory over St Francis. On Saturday we welcome Arundel
to the Beacon, the reserves are at Lancing on Friday
night and on Sunday the youth team go to Storrington
while the vets are at Forest Row |

Bridges comeback denies Hassocks victory
Despite going into a 2-0 lead thanks to a Sam Jeremiah
brace, Hassocks had to settle for a 2-2 draw at home to
Three Bridges yesterday afternoon. The third team went
down 5-1 at Cuckfield Town with Jamie Hillwood on
target. On Friday night we welcome Ringmer to the Beacon
with a 7.45pm kick off. On Saturday the reserves are at
Loxwood in the Reserve Section Cup and the third team
host Balcombe at 2pm in the quarter finals of the
Montgomery Cup. On Thursday, the youths visit Lancing at
7.30pm |

Robins complete double over league leaders Rye
Goals
from Phil Johnson, left, and Phil Gault secured a
2-1 win for Hassocks over County League Division One
leaders Rye United on Saturday. The Robins are now
unbeaten in 15 games and have complete the double over
the top two of both yesterdays opponents and Pagham.
Tomorrow we welcome Three Bridges to the Beacon with a
3pm kick off while the third team are in action in a
local derby at Cuckfield Town. Happy new Year from all
